Meeting

We are looking forward to our March meeting where Marc Maddox will discuss the SECURE Act.  The SECURE ACT, or "Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement Act" changes several retirement account rules, including who is eligible to contribute and when withdrawals are required.  This meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.  Lunch and networking will begin at 11:15 AM.  Join us for this informative meeting to learn more!

Andy Impastato, In-House Counsel for BXS Insurance, will be discussing 2020 Employment Law and Benefits Updates, including important topics such as the new W-4 forms.

We will be ordering lunch from Sully’s.  The cost will be $11.00 per person, and each lunch order comes with the following:

This is it! The final chapter meeting of the 2019 year! 

In an effort to draw a large crowd for our final meeting, we recruited a new speaker for the chapter! Executive Coach Bob Larkin, an Academy Leadership Affiliate, will be presenting on his personal leadership philosophy: the why's and how to's. Each attendee will spend time in the beginning to write down their own leadership philosophy and then learn how to deploy and use it to advance understanding and better meet business objectives. 

I hope everyone has enjoyed the past month, and that those who attended the 24th Annual Mississippi Human Resource Conference & Expo in Tupelo gained the tools and resources needed to implement successful HR practices!

Robin Taylor with Butler Snow LLP will be presenting on Criminal Background Checks at our October meeting (10/15). Lunch will be ordered from Chicken Salad Chick at a cost of $10.00 per person.

Our third to the last chapter meeting of this year is only a few short weeks away, and will be held on August 20th. Joel Jasper, with the Morgan White Group Employer Services, will be presenting on Disabled, Veterans, and Affirmative Action Plans.
